STYLE: FLORAL PANTS
My favorite trend to carry over from summer are floral pants. This eco-friendly pair is by Carrie Parry, an amazing Brooklyn-based designer that has created the ideal wardrobe for the creative professional for fall. But instead of keeping your floral skinny jeans in rotation, pack them away and welcome the almost pajama-like trousers that look so chic with button-downs (like this purple top) and tanks and blazers. And even if you think they might be man repelling, they are not. The backside also looks great in them! We’ll have both pieces on missqa.com soon.

STYLE: TOP TREND TO WEAR NOW
Love for prints reached on all time high on the fall 2012 runways, so we both decided to get the essential graphic dresses. We try not to get the exact same thing and usually that’s easy as Viola looks better in form-fitting clothes and I in pieces that slightly “hang” on me. But with this IvanaHelsinki collection made of bamboo exclusively for MISSQA, we couldn’t decide! After almost an hour of “you look better on this” and “no, you look much better in this,” we settled on the looks you see in the photos. What do you think? Do you ever buy the same thing as what your sister or best friend has?

STYLE: Pastels and Denim
My go-to outfit is dark skinny jeans paired with pretty tops. I can’t get enough of pastels, and blouses are such a fun way to experiment with the trend! This candy-colored piece is from one of our favorite summer collections, by Camilla Mikama, and the outfit is chic for MISSQA meetings, comfortable when working from home and cute when taking my daughter to dance class!

STYLE: Summer Pastels
Pretty in pistachio. This Camilla Mikama piece is perfect for the office or date in a museum or classy concert. Pastels have become a celebrity favorite on the red carpet: these light hues are ultra feminine and fresh.
If you have tried on a eco-friendly pastel outfit, post a picture of it on our Facebook wall, so we can put it in our street style gallery with a link to your blog or social media site! We would love to see how you style this trend.
PS. This dress will be available on Missqa.com soon:-)

THE FIND: Belts
If you are looking take your wardrobe up a notch, there’s no better investment than a couple of belts. A belt will make any outfit look more put together. I recently found all the Matt & Nat belts on sale at ASOS (you can browse all non-leather belts) and ordered everything still left in my size. A good show tailor can fix those that don’t fit. For summer, try skinnier belts in bold colors. You’ll start getting compliments on all your outfits, guaranteed:-)
