STYLE: LONG TANK TOP & WIDE BRIM HAT FOR PUERTO RICO
My husband and I had planned a trip to an eco resort in Nicaragua for this past Labor Day past weekend, but the night before my DH (dear husband) could not find his passport. At 3am we gave up looking and decided to book a last minute trip to Puerto Rico instead, where you can travel with an American driver’s license. Luckily, our Nicaraguan resort allowed us to postpone the trip without penalty, so we are going there next month!
While I snoozed for a few hours, DH found an amazing boutique hotel, The Horned Dorset Primavera Hotel, on the shores of Rincon, managed to get us on an 8am flight to San Juan and rent a car for the two and a half hour drive to the other side of the island.
As soon as we landed, I changed into an Angelrox eco-friendly the dye tank dress (also ideal for layering in the fall), put on a fair-trade Pachacuti wide brim hat I recently discovered on sale at Club Monaco, and slipped on the vegan Beyond Skin metallic sandals. When we headed to the terrace bar for sunset mojitos, I carried all my essentials in the ikat print eco Matt & Nat clutch: organic Intelligent Nutrients mosquito repellent, all-natural Hourglass lipgloss, and Forever Living aloe vera lip balm and a mini notebook for ideas on all the up and coming travel posts I’m really excited to share!

STYLE: COLORFUL (FAUX) SNAKESKIN
Happy Sunday! Today I’m wearing this outfit for Sunday brunch. Mixing colorful snakeskin accessories with bright dresses is another fun way to wear animal prints and still look sophisticated (don’t try this with leopard print!). The Heather Belle faux snakeskin clutch is truly unique, as no other designer has been able to replicate the look and feel of snakeskin like she has: the bag is very luxe. My sandals are made of golden faux snakeskin, so the whole look is slightly bold but still chic and put together.
PS. The Heather Belle bags come in a variety of bright colors and we now have them at MISSQA! I got the blue as it’s my absolute favorite color and I can wear it with anything. We would love to see how you style vegan animal prints and skins- post a picture response below with a link to your blog if you have one or leave a comment!

STYLE: CHIC SNAKESKIN ACCESSORIES
First of all, what do you think about our new white background (we are still practicing with the lighting:-)? We are excited to try something new that will put all the focus on the fashion and beauty looks! Most importantly though, I’m head over heels in love with these vegan snakeskin ankle boots. Snakeskin print is very easy to mix with other prints, as long as the color palette stays the same. As the cap toe is black, I finished the look with a black belt and shoulder bag. To make sure the animal print styles look sophisticated, keep the makeup minimal and hair natural. Here, I just flat ironed my hair straight and added shine serum for a slight wet-hair look.

STYLE: How to Wear Denim Shorts in the City: New York
A time comes when you mentally note you really should not wear jean shorts unless you are going to the country or the beach. Yes, they feel too young and also require a substantial amount of cross fit and yoga (my new workout routine!). But pair them pumps and a buttoned-up white shirt (post-workout routine), and the cut-offs magically transform into something you can also wear in the city. I would still not wear this outfit to the office, but love it for the weekend and for city vacations. This will certainly go into the suitcase as I head to Finland on Thursday!
* Reuse Jean Shorts in recycled cotton * Beyond Skin vegan leopard pumps * White Shirt (old Filippa K that might just last forever) * Makeup: OCC bronze and golden eyeshadows, Sante blue eyeshadows, Lavera lipstick and mascara *

STYLE: Playing with Tribal Prints
When mixing and matching prints, I like to stick to classic color palettes and go wild with patterns. This way you can’t go wrong-an easy mistake when you play with wild colors. Different tribal-feeling prints in black, white and nude look chic and cool and all-white accessories add an unexpected, fresh twist to the outfit. A high pony completes the look.
The bamboo mini dress is by IvanaHelsinki (exclusive for Missqa), the shoes by Beyond Skin, the belt by Matt&Nat and the bag is vintage Marimekko.

STYLE: Ballerina Flats
The sun came out in Helsinki! As city girls, ballerinas are a must for both us. We often swap to heels for a meeting, but these Beyond Skin nude flats decorated with a bow are so chic, we no longer have to! I’m in love.

PS. We are beyond excited that we are soon getting these ballerinas into our MISSQA e-boutique! For fashion alerts, sign up here: http://eepurl.com/kPek1
STYLE: Floral Dress from Day to Night
Floral dresses are my favorite spring trend. Here, I styled my new summery shift by British eco label Komodo for a family event (accessorized with white bridal pumps and belt with a delicate chain), cocktail party (with blue sky-high heels and a luxe faux alligator clutch) and office (with black blazer, ankle boots and a studded shoulder bag that fits all the essentials like subway reading). I adore this versatile piece. Tomorrow, come back to see my other floral piece, the maxi dress, also styled from day to night!

Style: Mini-Dress & Blazer
You know those days when you think you have nothing to wear? This is why I always have few outfits that are suitable for any occasion. Jenny dress by IVANAhelsinki is one of them. I had my friend’s daughter’s baptism this weekend and after trying on multiple outfits, I opted for this one: it always works! I like to pair this chic and comfortable bamboo print dress with a beige blazer and Beyond Skin nude pumps with silver detail. This outfit can go from sophisticated to sexy, and for less leg, just add tights:-)

STYLE: One-Shoulder Dress
I have never had easier time choosing what to wear when I was planning my outfit for my Finnish TV show’s premiere party. It takes me more time to dress for work meetings!
One-shoulder dress is always elegant, yet subtly sexy and it was exactly what I wanted to communicate when doing press. I paired this Ivana Basilotta peace-silk piece with a Jill Milan clutch and Beyond Skin leopard-print heels. I kept the gems simple and only added an old thin gold cuff (my good luck charm) and stud earrings.
The TV show follows the lives of four real Finnish women working and living in New York (yes, very Sex and the City) and premiered yesterday on the Liv TV channel. Some of the highlights include eco fashion events (in this city, being vegan and eco is glamorous!) and my volunteer trip to Catskills Animal Sanctuary, which is a magical place.
